Hello! My name is Jessica Kusser. I have lived in Sturgis most of my life. I have a fourteen year old son named Zach. I graduated from Black Hills State University with an Associate’s Degree in K-12 Paraprofessional, in 2006, and with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, in 2009. I was raised with the value that your education is one of your most important attributes. My previous teaching experiences include being an aide in Whitewood, a 4th-8thgrade teacher at Hereford and the Preschool teacher at the former Stepping Stones Daycare at Fort Meade.

I enjoy exploring the Black Hills, bowling, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox, fishing, reading a good book, and attending country music concerts in the area. When I am not teaching, you can find me at the Fort Meade Museum. History, specifically local, is my second love to teaching young minds.
I am excited to be your child’s teacher here at Sturgis Community Preschool. I received my own first preschool experience at Sturgis Community Preschool, and I love teaching at the same program that fostered my love for education. This will be my 8th year teaching at Sturgis Community Preschool. Every day will be filled with fun experiences geared by their interests. Your child will grow both academically and socially.
